Mr. Jacob Lail

It is truly an honor to lead this great school. Alexander Central has a proud tradition of excellence, and I am committed to upholding and advancing this legacy. I am dedicated to building strong relationships with our students, parents, teachers, and community partners. Together, we will continue to challenge our students to achieve high levels of success. Previously, I served as the principal of West Alexander Middle School. Before that, I was an assistant principal at Alexander Central High School and East Alexander Middle School. I hold a master's degree in Educational Leadership from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and a bachelor's degree in History, Secondary Education from Appalachian State University. My teaching career includes Advanced Placement (AP) United States History at Alexander Central and social studies at both the middle and high school levels.

Outside of my professional life, I enjoy being outdoors and traveling with my wife and daughter. We currently reside in the Town of Taylorsville.
